Kia Ora Cars was built locally for Kiwis to keep buying and selling simple and affordable. We don’t believe in high listing fees just to drive profits, the goal is a fair, long‑term marketplace that works for everyday people.
We keep pricing practical and focus on efficiency, and we reinvest into growing the audience so listings get seen. The goal is value for sellers: fair fees and real reach.
Our focus is to keep pricing fair and affordable long‑term. If changes are ever needed, we’ll keep them reasonable and we’ll communicate clearly before anything changes.
Scams can happen on any platform, so we encourage safe trading habits: don’t hand over the car until payment has cleared, and be cautious with unusual payment requests. If you spot suspicious behaviour, report it immediately and stop communication.
Bank transfer is usually the safest and simplest — do it with the buyer present and only hand over keys once the money is in your account. If accepting cash, meet at a bank to deposit it immediately. Avoid pressure tactics and don’t rely on screenshots as proof of payment.
Kia Ora Cars is a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers. Buyers should do their own due diligence (view the car, ask questions, and consider a pre‑purchase inspection) and sellers should disclose known issues honestly.
In NZ, both the buyer and the seller must notify Waka Kotahi (NZTA) when a vehicle changes hands. It’s the change of the registered person, and both sides are legally required to complete their part.
Always check vehicle history before paying. Odometer tampering can happen, and inconsistent kilometre records are a red flag. If you suspect odometer tampering or serious misrepresentation by a trader, there are official complaint pathways.
Built locally for Kiwis, Kia Ora Cars was created to offer a simpler, more affordable way to buy and sell cars. We don’t believe in high listing fees just to drive profits, our focus is on building a fair, long-term marketplace that serves everyday Kiwi's.
